Supervision

I am an Internationally accredited Supervisor trained by the International Centre for Coaching Supervision (ICCS). I supervise new coaches who ae just starting on their coaching journey, experienced coaches who are looking for accreditation with EMCC or for BPS Chartership and I supervise the coaches who serve on the NHS for the Professional Support and Wellbeing Service.

Why Coaching Supervision is right for you.

  • You might be a student on a coaching course and need a supervisor  – I was once there and know how nerve-wracking it can be. Working with me as your supervisor, I can support you and help build your confidence to succeed on your course and further on into your practice.
  • You might be a coach with challenging clients  – as we progress in our coaching practice, we will come across clients who challenge us and our style of coaching. Self-doubt can kick in! Supervision gives you the space to discuss your methods in a sage space, and explore ways you can build confidence in your coaching style and practice.
  • You might be a feeling worn down and overwhelmed by your coaching business  –  Sometimes we give so much of ourselves through our coaching, we can become exhausted and feel overwhelmed. Through supervision I can support you in practising self-care and setting boundaries so that you are at your best for your clients. Through positive psychology techniques we can ensure you stay psychologically safe and maintain your wellbeing.

My Coaching Supervision Service

My coaching supervision is built on seven key principles that support your growth, effectiveness, and wellbeing as a coach. I’m here to offer a comprehensive and enriching supervision experience that promotes both professional excellence and personal development.

Reflective Practice

Reflective practice is at the heart of effective coaching supervision. I provide a dedicated space for you to critically explore your experiences, decisions, and the impact of your work on clients and organizations. By fostering greater self-awareness, my supervision helps you deepen your learning and enhance your coaching effectiveness. In my group supervision sessions, there will be a wide range of coaching styles and we will also explore different reflective practices to establish a habit of self -awareness and a supportive environment to share client experiences and the impact on the systems our clients work in.

Safe and Supportive Collaborative Environment

I know how important it is to feel safe and supported in supervision. That’s why I create a trusting environment where you can comfortably share your most pressing challenges. This supportive space is key to addressing difficult issues and preventing burnout, ensuring your long-term wellbeing as a coach. I believe in a collaborative approach to supervision. I’ll work closely with you, asking thought-provoking questions and encouraging reflection, while also offering advice, suggestions, and constructive feedback. This partnership allows for a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights, helping you grow and develop as a coach.

Ethical Oversight

Maintaining ethical standards is crucial in coaching, and my supervision is designed to guide you through ethical dilemmas. I help you navigate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and integrity, sharpening your ability to spot and address ethical challenges with confidence I follow the EMCC guidelines but can adapt my supervision to work with the ethical guidelines of your coaching body or company.

Developmental Focus

My approach to supervision is all about your growth. I focus on helping you expand your coaching skills, explore new techniques, and deepen your understanding of coaching models and theories. At the same time, I support your personal and professional development, bringing a holistic touch to our work together. One of my top VIA strengths is “love of Learning” and I will encourage you in your choice of CPD.

Challenge and Insight

While support is vital, so is the right amount of challenge. My supervision encourages you to question assumptions, explore different perspectives, and engage in critical thinking. This balance of support and challenge leads to valuable insights and professional growth, helping you push your boundaries and achieve even more for yourself and your clients. We’re focused on results, ensuring that your coaching aligns with your clients’ goals and is truly effective. My supervision is more than just a place to talk through challenges—it’s about making sure your coaching has a real impact and achieves meaningful outcomes.

Systemic Awareness and Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity

Coaching doesn’t happen in a vacuum, and our supervision helps you understand the broader context in which you and your clients operate. I’ll support you in navigating complex systems, organisational dynamics, and cultural contexts, ensuring that your coaching is holistic, sustainable, and impactful. In today’s diverse world, cultural awareness is essential. My supervision is attuned to the cultural dynamics that affect your work, helping you navigate differences effectively and ensuring that your coaching is both culturally appropriate and impactful.

Self-Care and Wellbeing

I care about your wellbeing as much as your professional growth. My supervision addresses the challenges of stress, anxiety, and burnout, encouraging practices that support your mental and emotional health. By prioritising self-care, I help you sustain a long and fulfilling career in coaching.
